Collective Charities
We’ve partnered with 14 trusted Kiwi-based charities. These are smallish charities doing amazing work, but without the brand exposure of many of the big charities you already know. Choose to support one, some, or all. Tell us how much you want to give and how often. We’ll do the rest. Easy!
Over 700 Collective donors have raised $4,767,668.82 for our partner charities – impacting thousands of lives in Aotearoa and beyond.
Our existing charities are small to medium-sized, Kiwi-based, meet our criteria, believe in our Collective values, and meet our commitments. They're annually reviewed by our board of trustees and receive regular no-strings-attached funding to do their thing.
We're a tiny team and work closely with partner charities. When we have the capacity to onboard new charities, we open applications to those who meet our criteria and usually add 6 new charities to the One Percent Collective platform. This most recently happened in 2018 and 2022.

We sure do! To be 100% transparent, we give public access to a spreadsheet which breaks down the donations amounts for every quarter since we launched back in 2012. Check it out here.
One tough thing charities face is irregular donations. We provide our charities with a live dashboard so they can see the donor statistics and forecasted income from OPC. That helps the charities in planning ahead, as to how they can make the most impact with the regular support.
Beyond receiving donations, being part of the Collective is incredibly valuable for our partner charities. So much so, it’s an FAQ that deserves its very own page.
We’ve always had a funding model where our running costs are not covered by fees or deductions from donations. In the past we have relied on friends, family, grants, and business sponsors. Currently, we’re fully-funded by Simplicity Foundation.
