Collective
Impact

Over 100 givers have collectively raised $42,937.90 for WELLfed. That has paid for 2,863 participants taking part in WELLfed classes giving adult learners the kai-based confidence, skills and equipment to nourish and connect their whānau with healthy affordable meals.

What We Do.

The WELLfed programme has been delivering free, hands-on classes in communities that need it most since 2016. This award winning adult-education programme is based around food and cooking skills, and supports individuals with skills, confidence & equipment.

After six months 89% of WELLfed Learners report they now eat more healthy & feel more confident, 78% feel more connected to the community and 100% wanting to keep learning new things!

Each WELLfed Learner attends 6+ months of weekly classes with recipes, tips and materials, and a strong focus on seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. The programme has been co-designed with the local community, to make the classes accessible and to ensure that the recipes and classes make a real difference.

During classes, WELLfed Learners:

  • Make a meal, packed with fresh fruit and veggies, to take home for their whānau – plus extra kai
  • Receive basic kitchen equipment for home
  • Share kai and make connections
  • Grow confidence, numeracy, literacy, health and well-being
  • Have fun in a supportive, nurturing, safe environment

Each Learner has access to wrap-around care and referrals, as well as other free opportunities including workshops like first aid and interview skills, a parenting programme and personal support with CV’s!

WELLfed has a strong commitment to sustainability, with 27,150kgs of rescued food and produce from our garden helping create meals that have fed over 87,696 mouths fed so far!

More than 23,000+ volunteer hours, 10,337 items of kitchen equipment, and 9,478 pantry items have helped us towards the mission of nourishing communities with food and connections.

How it Works

Choose your charities

We’ve partnered with 15 trusted Kiwi-based charities. Choose one, some, or all. Tell us how much you want to give and how often. Set up once, then we’ll do the rest. Easy!

100% to charity

When you donate to a charity via One Percent Collective, a dollar given is a dollar received. The charity gets 100% of your donations. We don't take a cut.

See your impact

We’ll make sure you know what your dollars are doing. The difference they're making, the lives they're changing, and the stories they're creating.*

Don't just take our word for it.

I like the cause, the simplicity, and the flexibility of One Percent Collective. Keep up the great work!
